To apply for a National Visa (more than 90 days), please make an appointment with the German Consulate General of
Applicants who have received a visa from the German Consulate General of Los Angeles since June 2014 or who have already submitted fingerprints to the Schengen authorities during a past visa application with another Schengen State are asked to send their applications to the German Consulate General of Los Angeles through the US Postal Service.

On Friday, March 10, Consul General Hans Jörg Neumann hosted a small reception in honor of Hans W. Eberhard who received a Commendation from the County of Los Angeles for 50 years of Distinguished Service to the German-American community.

Consul General Hans Jörg Neumann attended the ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the dedication of the Los Angeles Sister City Plaza in San Pedro. The city’s newest park will feature 25 flags that represent each Sister City of Los Angeles. This year, Berlin and Los Angeles will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sister City partnership.

On Saturday, German Films, Villa Aurora and the German Consulate General hosted a reception in honor of this year’s German Oscar nominees. The annual event celebrates German film and shines a spotlight on German filmmakers in Los Angeles.

Call for Applications: McCloy Fellowships on Global Trends
The American Council on Germany is currently seeking applications for the McCloy Fellowships on Global Trends. The fellowships allow for American and German experts from journalism, the public sector, think tanks, nonprofits, law, and cultural organizations to research and assess the most pressing topics on the transatlantic agenda while engaging with their counterparts overseas.
