Working in close cooperation with the Goethe Institut, the cultural team promotes the German language as an appealing and important foreign language in the U.S.

ZfA Language Advisors worldwide

ZfA Deutsche Auslandsschularbeit International (© ZfA Deutsche Auslandsschularbeit International) Through its language advisors, the German Central Agency of Foreign Schools Abroad (ZfA) supports schools and programs of German as a foreign language. In the Midwest, these are mainly the German Language Schools (part-time or “Saturday” schools), the German immersion schools and some American High School programs.

Interested in school exchanges and English teaching opportunities in Germany? - Then come and visit the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Chicago to learn more about the many faces of Germany! Diplomats are happy to speak to and with school groups (consisting of up to 20 students and their teachers) as well as undergraduate students about a number of topics.
