Climate and Berlin Wall Anniversary are Major Themes for 2009

Ambassador Scharioth met with leaders of German institutions in the United States to coordinate public outreach efforts in 2009, when the major themes will be the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and transatlantic cooperation in climate and energy.

Ambassador Scharioth hosted a private pre-screening reception and a public post-screening vin d’honneur in honor of the East Coast premiere of The Baader Meinhof Complex with special guest Stefan Aust, author of the book on which the film is based, in attendance at the AFI Silver Theatre on Friday, November 21, 2008.
