Ambassador Peter Ammon is Germany's highest-ranking representative to the US government. He represents German interests in the United States and works to foster and deepen German-American relations in the political, economic and cultural spheres.

Ambassador Ammon was in Alabama on April 8 to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Airbus final assembly line in Mobile. The new building will create 1,000 new jobs in the Mobile area.

Ambassador Ammon attended the US Holocaust Memorial Museum's annual Days of Remembrance Ceremony on Thursday, April 11 in the Capitol Rotunda. The event honors the survivors and liberators of the Holocaust. This year, the speakers emphasized those who risked their lives to stand up for what was right.

In his speech, the Ambassador outlined the German Embassy’s Skills Initiative, which is aimed at enhancing skills training in the Charlotte region and beyond.
