German and French Deputy Chiefs of Mission Jens Hanefeld and Frédéric Doré visited Cincinnati in early May together to convey the message of French-German cooperation and see the traveling Élysée Treaty exhibit at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. The visit included meeting members of the community and international businesses, and a Gala hosted by the European American Chamber of Commerce.

An event hosted by Rabbi Kamrass and the Isaac M. Wise Temple in Cincinnati brought together the German-American and Jewish-American communities in the Cincinnati area. The luncheon was held at the Synagogue on Plum Street, and members of the community were happy for the opportunity to trade stories and establish a connection.

Ambassador Ammon and LBI International Director Kahn Strauss opened an exhibition titled “The Mendelssohns: A German Family of Scholars, Bankers, and Artists” in the German Residence. Guests enjoyed music by Fanny Hensel and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy.
