Neither Boomtown nor Hypezig – just Leipzig
Boomtown, Hypezig, Berlin’s cool, little sister – there are lots of names for Leipzig, all of them signalling that this 1000 year old city with its majestic mansions, the spirit of Goethe and Bach, and memories of German unification, is dusting itself off, reinventing itself. So is there anything to the hype? Well, Leipzig is a very special place in Germany.
Nina Jasmin Petrow, was appointed as the Honorary Consul in San Antonio, Texas for the German Consulate General in Houston on Monday, September 29, 2015. She is succeeding Honorary Consul Ben Buecker, who has served in his position for the last 14 years.

The Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program is a distinguished transatlantic initiative that offers fifteen accomplished Americans the opportunity to complete a comprehensive professional development program in Germany. Fellows are from the fields of business administration, cultural management (ex. museum, theater, orchestra), journalism, law, non-profit, public policy, and urban planning.

Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program
Since 1992 the German Air Force has been stationed at the Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, which also is the HQ of the German Air Force Flying Center since 2013, and is currently under the command of Col. Heinz J. Ferkinghoff . The Alburquerque Journal reports on the German Air Force's impact on Holloman.
