As Germany's worldwide cultural arm, the Goethe-Institut promotes the German language, fosters international cultural cooperation and conveys a comprehensive picture of Germany.  The Goethe-Institut Los Angeles organizes and supports cultural events presenting Germany's cultural, social and political life and acts as a facilitator of intercultural exchange.

Villa Aurora

The artists residence and historic landmark, located in the former home of exiled German-Jewish writer Lion Feuchtwanger and his wife Marta,  fosters German-American cultural exchange in memory of the European exiles that settled in Southern California.  Villa Aurora offers a variety of public lectures, screenings and performances.
