Passport application procedure in Miami
As actual fingerprints have to be included in all German passports - except for those issued to children under the age of 6 - applicants have to apply in person at the Consulate.
Passports issued before November 1, 2007 without finger prints stay valid until the expiration date. The validity of old passports cannot be renewed.
How to arrange for your appointment!
The Consulate has appointed Abtran Ltd. exclusively to handle all appointments for our passport and visa clients. You cannot arrange for an appointment by calling the Consulate directly.

Opening hours of calling center (Abtran) are 8:30 am to 8:30 pm. Monday to Friday except for December 24, 25, 26, 31, New Years Day and Good Friday.
(Note: Some premium numbers (1-900) are blocked by workplaces and also some cell phone companies. We suggest that you contact your cell phone company to have the number unlocked.)

The lines above are to be used for appointment setting only. Once you have made an appointment, you will receive an e-mail with your reference number, date and time. If you have difficulties to find a photoshop capable to take your pictures in the required size, we recommend to arrive 1/2 hour earlier to your appointment and we will direct you to our trusted photoshop (walking distance).
