A group of 20 German interns and trainees from the German Consulate General and the Permanent Mission of Germany to the UN were given an inside look into the American Jewish Committee (AJC) in a visit to its New York headquarters and a meeting with its Executive Director, David Harris, on February 24.

A trio of recently published and renowned authors, moderated by New York Bureau Chief of The Economist magazine and author of The Road From Ruin, Matthew Bishop, gathered before a large audience for the roundtable discussion "Meltdown, Bailout, Aftershock" at the German House on February 9. The event, sponsored by the Consulate General of Germany in New York and Scarsdale Equities, featured authors Barry Ritholtz, Robert Wiedemer, and Benn Steil, member of Council on Foreign Relations.
