New York Landmark shining in Black, Red and Gold: Photo Competition of the German-colored Empire State Building

As in the previous year, the Empire State Building Lighting Partner agreed to coat the top of New York's famous landmark in Black, Red and Gold on the weekend of September 19 through September 21 and the German Consulate held a photo competition for the best picture. Friends and Members of the German House New York were invited to participate and submit their "best shots".

The four charming ladies from Salut Salon once again exeeded all expectations with an outstanding one hour stage program full of music, acrobatics and magic. The evening at the German House Auditorium, warmly opened by General Consul Dr. Horst Freitag, was turned into a virtuoso spectacle by the four charming musicians from Germany.

At yesterday’s exhibition opening, guests and friends of artist Gerd Eisenblätter’s paintings immersed into upper Bavarian charme and tranquility and enjoyed themselves along pleasant talks and tasteful wine. The exhibition Landscape by Gerd Eisenblätter gathers paintings from the last 5 years, all inspired by relatively unspectacular, but not less harmonic views and places of the artist’s home region, the alpine upland in Bavaria.
