At the top of the list: how to protect the rule of law and democracy. That’s of particular relevance now for the countries that experienced the Arab Spring. The question asked at the 32nd Forum on Global Issues at the German Foreign Ministry in May 2013: how can Germany provide effective assistance as nations attempt to establish their own democracies? It was initiated by Aarhus University, Human Rights Watch, the Institute for Internet and Society at the Humboldt University and the German Foreign Ministry: (© AA)
