Office Hours - Consular and Legal Services

The Consular and Legal Department is open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., except on selected German and American Holidays (consult "Official Holidays" on right hand side).


Applicants for German passports or for visa are required to make an appointment. Appointments are also required for full notarizations ("Beurkundungen").


All other consular services (e.g. signature certifications, notarizations of copies and life certificates) are available without appointments during the office hours of 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
