Office Hours - Consular and Legal Services

The Consular and Legal Departments are open to the public Monday through Friday, except on selected German and American Holidays (consult "Official Holidays" on right hand side).



Starting July 1, 2009 you are required to make an appointment for both passport and visa applications. Appointments are also required for legal notarizations ("Beurkundungen" according to German law, e.g. in inheritance or real estate matters).

All other consular services (e.g. signature notarizations and certifications for driver's licenses) are available during regular office hours without appointments. Walk-ins welcome.
