The 40th Anniversary of the Orchestra Seattle and the Seattle Chamber Singers coincides with another anniversary: The 20th Anniversary of the “Velvet Revolution” and the fall of the Berlin Wall. On the very week of their concert in 1989, a huge demonstration of over 70,000 people took place in Leipzig – the heart of the resistance to the Communist regime in East Germany.
