Freya von Moltke Dead at 98

Freya von Moltke, a member of the German resistance whose husband was was executed by the Nazis in 1945, has died in her home in the US state of Vermont. The von Moltkes founded the Kreisauer Circle, which became a center of resistance against Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany.

A major renovation effort is underway at Europe's largest Jewish cemetery located in Berlin's Weissensee area. The cemetery, a testament to Germany's Jewish heritage, is also applying for UNESCO status.
