Sixty years ago, on December 4, 1948, students and scholars crowded into the Titania-Palast movie theater – the largest hall available in the American sector of occupied Berlin – to celebrate the launch of the Free University of Berlin.

German Embassy Award of Excellence

Meagan Tripp received the 2008 German Embassy Award of Excellence (sponsored by the German Information Center USA) in Orlando, Florida, during the annual ACTFL Convention and World Languages Expo. Tripp is a German teacher at Temple High School in Temple, Texas, where she has been contributing to an expanding German program since 2003.
