The Residence of the German Ambassador is featuring a new exhibit that portrays influential German Jews from the founding og the German Empire in 1871 until the seizure of power by the National Socialists in 1933. The exhibit, which was produced by the Leo Baeck Institute, profiles well-known Jewish artists, scientists and thinkers of 20th century Germany.

First-Time Olympians Erik Heil and Thomas Plößel won the bronze medal in the men's 49er Skiff class at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro. The pair earned their place on the podium in the final race.
