A Note on Opera: Gluck's "Orfeo ed Euridice"

Notenblatt Enlarge image (© picture-alliance / Bildagentur-online / Klein) Join us for a special edition of the 'A Note on Opera' program as we partner with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for the concert performance of Christoph Willibald von Gluck’s first masterpiece, his 1769 “Orfeo ed Euridice” [Orpheus and Eurydice].

A one hour private lecture will take place at 6:30pm at the Woodruff Art Center, followed by the performance that includes the world’s leading counter-tenor, David Daniels, in the lead role of “Orfeo.”

This is an event not to be missed! Only 20 tickets available - purchase deadline Tuesday, May 9, 5:00pm. Ticket price includes lecture and a main orchestra seat for the concert.

Lecture to be in English by David Kerr. No pre-existing knowledge of music required.
