Consul General Loehr Hosts Reception for German Women's Junior Field Hockey Team

Germany’s Women's Junior Field Hockey Team has been participating in the 2009 Women’s Junior World Cup in Boston. The sixteen finest women’s under-21 national teams from around the world converge on Harvard University’s Jordan Field for two weeks of competition, from August 3 to 16, 2009.

Upon the arrival of the German team in Boston, Consul General Friedrich Loehr hosted a welcome reception for the team and guests on Thursday July 30 at the Goethe Institute.

The German team under national coach Marc Herbert is the current European champion and opened the tournament against Argentina on August 3.

Consul General Loehr wished them the best of luck for the upcoming matches. In return, he received a team jersey signed by all players.
