Deputy Consul General Dietmar and Mrs. Bock hosted a reception in honor of German Member of Parliament, Hans-Josef Fell, on Saturday, January 23, 2010.
Mr. Fell was in town for the VerdeXchange Green Marketmakers Conference taking place in downtown Los Angeles from January 24-25, 2010.
On Monday, January 25th, Mr Fell, who is the Spokesman for Energy and Technology Policy for the Parliamentary Group Alliance (Bündnis 90/ Die Grünen), participated in the conference as a panel speaker on the plenary session entitled: How Successful are Government Initiatives in Driving the Alternative Energy Marketplace? Mr. Fell focused on German feed-in tarif legislation.
The goal of the VerdeXchange Conference is to bring together leading and innovative technology, energy, financial and regulatory green marketmakers - the private and public sector "drivers of change" who, along with invited environmental stewards, create the global, Western States, and local markets for green technology products and sustainable services

The Conference’s panels and plenary sessions aim to highlight current and future business opportunities, current and about-to-be in market products and services, public policy developments, and research on needed-in-market technologies that are driving climate change innovation, sustainable practice, and new investment.
VDX 2010's January conference looked forward to building on the success of its past two conference/Xpos, which engaged more than 1,500 participants, trade representatives and enterprises from thirteen countries.
