From 10:30 a.m. on September 27 about 120 local friends of Germany celebrated an election party at the Consul General's residence. Everybody could take part in a test election, as well as in an election quiz. Had the guests' vote been the real one, the formation of a new government would have been even easier than in reality. At "high noon" the suspense reached its maximum, when the first projections of the results were televised directly from Berlin. At the election quiz some 50 amateur pollsters both from Germany and the US had shown a lot of expertise. The winner of the quiz, who went home with a nice prize, came as close as an overall 3.6 % to the final result in Germany.
