Concert to celebrate Day of German Unity and Freedom Without Walls
On Oct. 4 German soprano Christine Reber accompanied by Miami pianist Paul Schwartz performed at The Wolfsonian-Florida International University in Miami Beach to commemorate 19 years of German Unity and 20 years of Freedom Without Walls. Consul General Klaus Ranner welcomed the audience of aficionados of German lieder and arias. Particular applause received Bertolt Brecht's "Kinderhymne" and the encore, Violeta Parra's "Gracias a la vida".
