Mayor of Berlin visits San Francisco

From December 3 until December 6, the Governing Mayor of Berlin Klaus Wowereit visited San Francisco on the invitation of the Mayor of San Francisco Gavin Newsom. During his stay in the city he had the opportunity to hold talks with Mayor Newsom as well as with the State Senators Leland Yee and Mark Leno. Mayor Wowereit also delivered the key note speech at the opening panel of the 25th International Gay and Lesbian Leadership Conference. To promote Berlin as a travel destination Mayor Wowereit and Consul General Rothen welcomed more than 150 guests for a Berlin Reception in the residence of the Consul General.
