Benjamin Moser, who hails from a family of musicians, began his piano studies at the age of five and received numerous prizes in young artists competitions. He studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich and is currently enrolled in the Master’s program at the Berlin University of Arts.
The young pianist has enjoyed tremendous critical and public success. "With Benjamin Moser at the Steinway the concert was a high wire act of breathtaking proportions. He is already a master of color, atmosphere and delicate nuance, with technical mastery and youthful exuberance,” wrote the Süddeutsche Zeitung of his 2008 performance with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
As First Prize Winner of the 2007 Young Concert Artists International Auditions, he made his New York debut in the Young Concert Artists Series at Carnegie Hall and his Washington, DC debut at the Kennedy Center during the 2007-2008 season.
During the 2008-2009 season, Benjamin Moser performed recitals for the Washington Center for Performing Arts, the Grace Episcopal Church in California, the University of Florida, and the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts in Michigan, among others. He has also performed as concerto soloist with the Munich Symphony Orchestra and the Northwest German Philharmonic and given recitals throughout Europe.
The concert, which is free-of-charge, will take place in the Carl Schurz Auditorium of the Germany Embassy. Advance registration is required. To learn more, please click the link below:
