Chancellor Angela Merkel spoke before a joint meeting of the United States Congress on Tuesday, following an invitation by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The Chancellor also met with US President Barack Obama at the White House. Merkel’s visit and her address to US legislators mark the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989.
