“Sorry for the color,” the first Artist Exchange by The Shades of Gray, kicks off with the exhibition "Life is extremely strange" or "L.I.E.S." by Jonas Gerberding, a German painter from Hamburg who is mainly influenced by street art and urban art on canvas.

Followed by the arts exhibition "Life is nuts" by Marcius Tan, an artist from Germany who evolved from the street art scene and works with spray paints, combined with brushes, stencils and other materials.

Ten days later Shades of Gray presents the theater project written and directed by Rayka Kobiella with the title "Life is overrated," a story about the sudden feeling of not knowing what your life is really about anymoreand its meaning. Rayka wrote a play everybody can relate to on the search of what makes your life meaningful and the independence of your own thoughts.

The Shades of Gray places great value on the vast diversity of humankind and celebrates this fortune to exchange experiences, memories, opinions and combine it in art. The artists are painting and rehearsing in
New York City. The Artist Exchange season will capture their own culture and the culture their experience here in their artwork.
