Bergen County residents are invited to “get their oompah on” at a lively German festival hosted by Giants of Generosity on Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 6 to 10 p.m. The event will be held at St. John the Theologian Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 353 East Clinton Avenue in Tenafly, N.J. The price is $35 per person which includes an authentic, homemade German meal; entertainment by Schuhplattler Dancers, a traditional German folk dance troupe; and a silent auction featuring a variety of exciting goods.

Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available online or at the front desk of the Clinton Inn Hotel in Tenafly. Checks with ticket requests may also be sent to Giants of Generosity, 201 Piermont Road, #16, Cresskill, N.J. 07626.

Founded in 2007 by D. Jane Albanese, Giants of Generosity’s mission is to respond to the most pressing needs of people in our own communities who are experiencing critical, life-altering situations and have nowhere else to turn. The non-profit organization has provided financial assistance, moral support, and connections to area resources to individuals and families facing extraordinarily difficult circumstances. It relies solely on donations to continue its work to “pay-it-forward.”

See their website for the many examples of Giants of Generosity's work in the community in just the past year.
