International business majors from both universities will be able to spend several semesters at the other institution, enabling them to gain international experience and expertise which is so important when entering today's job market.

"We are striving to increase the international offerings at our university as well as the international exchange of students. The new co-operation is an important step in this direction," stated Landshut University President Prof. Karl Stoffel during the ceremony.

Landshut University has started offering business courses in English for 3rd and 4th semester students. This development gives students from USC Upstate the chance to study in Landshut even without knowing fluent German. Landshut students study at home for the first four semesters and attend USC Upstate in Spartanburg for the final semesters of their degree program. After the completion of their studies, the students will receive a dual degree in international business from both universities.
