Last week the Consulate was excited to welcome a group of students from the German program at Concord High School in New Hampshire. The 20 students and their German teachers, Laura Ernst and Marnix van Steenbergen, joined staff and interns from the Consulate to talk about the work of the German foreign service in Boston and the United States.
The students, who have been studying German between two and five years, asked questions about the kind of projects and events the Consulate works on, and what it’s like to travel abroad and work in the foreign service. The Consulate staff also talked about the many exciting opportunities for American students in high school and college to get funding to study in Germany.
We are always excited to have German students at the Consulate and we hope that this was a fun and interesting visit for them as well!
