TCB and GACCoM host German-American Roundtable on Wastewater Technologies in Milwaukee, WI

Roundtable on Wastewater Technology Enlarge image Roundtable on Wastewater Technology (© GACCoM) On April 26, 2012, two representatives from the wastewater treatment plant in Lingen, Germany, visited Milwaukee for a roundtable discussion on energy production from wastewater.

The exchange was supported by the Transatlantic Climate Bridge, recognizing the visitors' achievements in making the Lingen wastewater treatment plant one of the most modern in Germany.

The roundtable, which was hosted by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) in collaboration with the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest (GACCoM), featured 20 wastewater and energy experts from Wisconsin and Illinois. Among those present were representatives from three Wisconsin wastewater facilities, the State of Wisconsin and the City of Milwaukee, as well as representatives form the wastewater industry.
