60 Years German Air Defense Training in Fort Bliss

This event actually marked two significant anniversaries: First, the 60 years of a German military presence at Fort Bliss and secondly the 50 years of the German air force having its Air Defense Center.

1st AD commander Major General Pat White, German Brigadier General Michael Gschossmann and German Air Force Colonel Ingo Kresser were also in attendance and cut the 60th anniversary cake.

The Air Defense Center, formerly known as Missile Air Force School, officially moved from Aachen to its present location in the U.S. in 1966.
