After three years in Los Angeles, the time had come for him to bid farewell to the City of Angels, and most importantly, say his goodbyes to colleagues, friends and the many members of the German-American community he had gotten to know and work with closely during his post.

Mr. Biedermann is currently Deputy Consul General at the German Consulate General in Osaka, Japan.

In remarks made by Consul Ott and Consul General Wolfgang Drautz, it was clear that Mr. Ott had greatly enjoyed his tenure as cultural attaché, and had with his involvement, significantly helped to advance German-American relations in the fields of education, film and the arts.

Mr. Biedermann looked like he was up for the challenge, easily mixing and mingling with guests at the Sunday afternoon get-together.

As Consul General Drautz so aptly said, “he’s leaving Hollywood for Bollywood.” We wish him and Anette the best of luck!
