(© dpa) Ambassador Peter Ammon joined German Federal Agriculture Minister Ilse Aigner in leading off the annual German-American Steuben Day Parade in New York on Saturday, September 17. Ambassador Ammon and Minister Aigner served as grand marshals, along with Deutsche Welle Directer Erik Bettermann and Travel Channel's Samantha Brown, as the parade of floats, bands, organizations and entertainers started off down Fifth Avenue.
