Dinner with Interior Minister Friedrich Honors AJC Global Forum

Ambassador Peter Ammon hosted a dinner at his residence on Wednesday with German Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich in honor of the annual American Jewish Committee Global Forum, which is underway this week in Washington, DC. Germany and the American Jewish Committee have maintained a close and trusting cooperation for decades—in Germany with the AJC office in Berlin as well as in the United States. The American Jewish Committee has distinguished itself with for its work supporting the transatlantic relationship as well as German-Jewish reconciliation.
The dinner with AJC President Robert Elman and numerous other dedicated AJC leaders and those active in the field is an expression of the high esteem with wich the Ambassador and Germany view the organization. The ongoing German-American-Jewish exchange and dialogue remains a heartfelt matter of deep commitment for Germany.
