Ambassador Ammon Visits Boston, Meets with Governor Patrick

On the occasion of the International Bio Convention 2012 in Boston, where Germany's thriving biotech industry was represented by 70 companies and institutions, German Ambassador Peter Ammon met with Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. During the lively and cordial meeting on June 20, they discussed matters of international finance and economics and the importance of a well-trained workforce. German companies are already training hundreds of young Americans in seminal technical professions.

While in Massachusetts, Ambassador Ammon also visited the research facilities of the Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems (CSE). Based in Cambridge, MA, CSE is an applied research and development laboratory dedicated to the commercialization of clean energy technologies.
