Berlin’s storied Hotel Adlon, just yards away from the Brandenburg Gate, is to be the venue for a meeting of renowned chefs from around the world, planned for this Thursday, July 19. The hotel announced that members of the exclusive “Club des Chefs des Chefs” (CCC) group are planning to celebrate the 35th anniversary of their association. The CCC, founded in 1977 by legendary French culinary master Paul Bocuse, counts as members chefs from around the world whose day jobs include cooking for presidents, chancellors and crowned heads of state. The chefs have been invited by the Head Chef of the Federal Chancellery Ulrich Kerz to enjoy a joint dinner with Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU). With but 40 members, the CCC is considered to be the most exclusive gastronomic club in the world. The member chefs hold regular meetings once per year.
