Delegations from Denmark and Germany will come together with business and community leaders and interested citizens in Charleston, South Carolina on March 27 and Charlottesville, Virginia on March 29 for day long forums on sustainable ways to community prosperity.

Learn about the municipality of Thisted that is almost fossil fuel free now; the island of Samsø that achieved energy self-sufficiency in a decade’s time; and the island of Bornholm that is a new green laboratory focused on electric cars, solar deployment, energy efficient construction and the development of an intelligent electricity system.


Learn about Germany, a leader in energy efficiency and renewable energies. Meet representatives of the city of Munich, the municipality of Saerbeck and the former US-base Scharnhauser Park and learn how 118 German cities and regions are going to have 100% renewable energy supply in the near future.
