Space Patrol Orion: Episodes 1-3
|
|
In the Goethe-Institut's continuing "Films We Always Wanted To Show...but never dared to!" series, the first three of seven episodes (to be shown over three evenings) from the German science fiction television series "Space Patrol Orion" will be shown on May 11, 2009.

Photo Exhibition: " Of this Time, and of this Place – Hollywood, CA"
|

The Goethe-Institut Los Angeles presents an exhibition of new photographs by Bernd Reinhardt in the context of their program, Cultures in Motion. The exhibition investigates the make-up of the cultural melting pot of Hollywood and will be on display from May 16 through July 30, 2009. An opening reception will be held on May 16 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.

The Goethe-Institut Los Angeles in cooperation with the Austrian Consulate presents: Art History Projected, a lecture by Doris Berger with film clips on Wednesday, May 20, 2009.

German Soccer Great Michael Ballack to Play at the Rose Bowl

Consul General Christian Stocks hosted a reception at his residence to honor all those who made it possible that “Silenced Music” (Verfemte Musik) be heard once again in Los Angeles, on Saturday, April 25, 2009.

Consul General Stocks: "It All Started with the Airlift"

In bringing to close the German Consulate General's year long commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the end of the Berlin Airlift, Consul General Stocks spoke to the members of the Rotary Club of San Marino about how "It All Started with the Airlift" and honored one of the heroes of the Airlift in San Marino on April 30, 2009.

German Saturday Schools and Students Honored
|
|
Consul Lars Leymann and Frank Müller, German Language Consultant for the Central Agency for Schools Abroad, presented the German Saturday and Kinderland schools of the German-American School Association of Southern California (GASA) with a Schools: Partners for the Future plaque and honored German students at the Phoenix Club on May 3, 2009.
