UGASF will celebrate 20th Heritage Day at Wyndham Orlando Resort

On the 25th of March, 2012, UGASF will be celebrating its twentieth Heritage Day event at the Wyndham Orlando Resort, in Orlando, the City Beautiful. Featured will be the bands of Manni Daum & Co. and Alex Meixner, presentations by a combined chorus from various clubs, Folk Dancers, Schuhplattler groups.

Summer Camps a the 'German School of Ft. Lauderdale'
|

The 'German Schoolof Ft. Lauderdale' offers two summer camps this year. ''German Montessori Summer Camp" - a full immersion German summer camp for ages 2 – 5 and "Germany in Europe - Germany and its neighbors" - a full immersion German summer camp for ages 6-14.

Word of the Week: Fußgängerzone
|

Most German towns and cities feature a pedestrian retail district known as a "Fußgängerzone" (Fussgängerzone), where people tend to gather to take care of the business of shopping and socializing in a car-free and often charmingly cozy urban setting.
