Ambassador Scharioth Visits New York Stock Exchange

Ambassador Klaus Scharioth visited the New York Stock Exchange on Monday, April 7, where he met with NYSE Euronext CEO Duncan Niederauer and members of his staff and toured the trading floor. Ambassador Scharioth also had the opportunity to observe the Closing Bell ceremony.

Later on Monday, Ambassador Scharioth addressed members of the American Business Forum on Europe on the latest developments in EU-US relations and important initiatives for a future based on transatlantic cooperation.

Ambassador Scharioth continued his visit on Tuesday with a number of meetings with leading representatives of financial institutions operating on a global scale to get first-hand information on the repercussions and further potential consequences of the international credit crisis.
