Looking Ahead to Burns Fellowship Program
Ambassador Klaus Scharioth met with Dr. Frank-Dieter Freiling, vice president of international affairs at ZDF, a major German television network, and president of the Arthur F. Burns Fellowship Program at the Embassy on November 16 to discuss the upcoming year of the program. Ambassador Scharioth is the patron of the exchange program, which gives young media professionals--ten from the US and ten from Germany--the opportunity to work for two months on the editorial staff of a news organization in each other's countries.
