Ambassador Scharioth Speaks at Brandeis, Boston, Fletcher, Harvard

Ambassador Klaus Scharioth visited the Boston area recently to bolster German relations with several academic institutions. Ambassador Scharioth was the keynote speaker at the Center for German and European Studies at Brandeis University on October 10.

Later that day he was on a panel at Boston University, along with French Ambassador Pierre Vimont, for a discussion on "Getting to Know the European Union: France and Germany."

At his alma mater, The Fletcher School, Ambassador Scharioth met with students in a roundtable discussion.

At Harvard University, Scharioth spoke to McCloy Fellows at the John F. Kennedy School of Government's Center for Public Leadership. He also met with Joseph Nye, University Distinguished Service Professor at the Kennedy School.

Scharioth wrapped up his whirlwind trip to New England with a meeting with members of the Boston Globe's editorial board.
