Honorary Consuls
If you do not live near a Consulate General, an Honorary Consul in your
area may be able to help you. Honorary Consuls provide limited information
and emergency assistance. They can notarize signatures on official German
documents (e.g. Lebensbescheinigungen). They do not issue visas or German
passports. For further information, please contact the Honorary
Consuls directly.
