This year, the Foundation "Remembrance, Responsibility and Future" is
holding the International Journalism Competition for the second time. To
coincide with the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of
Human Rights in December 2008, the Foundation is inviting young and talented
journalists from Belarus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany,
Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Russian Federation, Ukraine and theUSA
to participate by submitting press articles on the theme "All
human
beings are free and equal...". The journalism prizes 2008 will be
awarded to three exceptional press articles in each language category. The winners
will be invited to attend the awards ceremony to be held inBerlin in December
2008.
Contributions to the competition should have been published in a newspaper,
magazine or Internet magazine prior to the deadline for applications . The
articles can be written in the language of the respective country.
