On January 22, 1963, French President Charles de Gaulle and Chancellor Konrad Adenauer of the Federal Republic of Germany signed a treaty of friendship, setting the seal on reconciliation between Germans and the French in an historically disputed Europe.This month, InFocus looks at the legacy of this vital agreement.
