German American Executive Summit

The first-ever German American Executive Summit will bring together in Washington, DC, close to 100 CEOs and top executives of major German and American companies along with political representatives for roundtable talks and panel discussions on German-American economic relations. The summit from May 19 to 21 will underscore that good, fruitful business relations between the two countries remain on a strong foundation and are a cornerstone of the overall transatlantic relationship.

“This gathering will demonstrate that for Germany and the United States, good economic relations are in each of our own best interests,” German Ambassador to the US Wolfgang Ischinger said. “The fact that corporate leaders on both sides of the Atlantic have responded with such great interest shows that this event is coming at an opportune time.”

The event is being hosted by the German Embassy; the US Chamber of Commerce, where the main meetings will take place; the Federation of German Industries (BDI); and the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK). In addition, the generous support of principal sponsors and supporters has made the summit possible.
