Visit Germany and France in One Stop at the Annual EU Open House

© Germany.info/ HouseOfFranceDC.org Enlarge image (© Germany.info/ HouseOfFranceDC.org) The embassies of the member states of the European Union and the Delegation of the European Union in Washington are once again opening their doors to area residents and visitors for a day of family fun during the sixth annual EU Open House on Saturday, May 12. Visitors are invited to hop from the Seine to the Rhine, across the Alps to the Pyrenees, up the Danube, over the Carpathians, from the Mediterranean to the Baltic, all without leaving the District.

This year, in a sign of the close friendship that binds the two European neighbors, the German Embassy and the French Embassy will offer a joint open house on the grounds of the French Embassy at 4101 Reservoir Road in Northwest DC.

Enjoy the revelry of a German beer garden, indulge at a French café, or feast upon a three course prix-fixe lunch in the Embassy's cafeteria, featuring French and German dishes. Live music from French and German artists will fill the gardens and children will be thrilled by fun, interactive workshops. Before leaving, learn a few phrases in a complimentary German or French lesson.

The Embassy wishes to express its gratitude to its French neighbors for so generously offering to host this wonderful event.
