Germany Remembers Authors of Books Burned by Nazis
Germany is hosting a series of lectures, exhibitions, discussions and readings to mark the 75th anniversary of the Nazi's ceremonial burning of books written by Jews, communists and others in 1933. Among the authors whose works were destroyed were Brecht, Freud and Thomas Mann. |

Berlin Mayor Klaus Wowereit has now made it clear Tempelhof Airport will be closed. The historic building complex will in any event remain despite the decision to discontinue flights. |
