The Week in Germany: Sports September 22, 2006 The White Giant Takes on The Beast German heavyweight boxer Axel Schulz has picked a tough challenger for a big comeback fight - American boxer Brian Minto. Schulz, 37, also known as the "White Giant", will take on Minto, 31, also known as "The Beast", after a seven-year hiatus from professional boxing on November 25 in Halle-Westfalen, Germany's mass circulation daily Bild reported on Tuesday. Minto, a heavyweight boxing champion from Butler Pennsylvania who has won 26 out of 27 matches fought, is ranked 27th in the world, the popular tabloid added. "I wanted to get back into the game at the highest level possible
to motivate myself even more for the fight," said Schulz, who hails
from the town of Frankfurt an der Oder on the German-Polish border. "I'm
more psyched about boxing than I've ever been."
