The Week in Germany: Sports December 8, 2006 World Cup Hailed as "Fairytale" and All-Round Success
A report was unveiled in Berlin on Wednesday underscoring the success of last summer's World Cup soccer tournament in Germany. "The World Cup was not only a sporting success but also an economic, political and security success," German Interior Minister Wolfgang Schäuble said at a press conference in the German capital.
