Ludlow 38 - The Real World

The Goethe-Institut New York and Kunstverein München have opened The Real World, the second exhibition at Ludlow 38, a new downtown satellite space for innovative contemporary art.

Ludlow 38 is located a short walk from the New Museum and at the center of the emerging gallery scene on the Lower East Side and in Chinatown.

The Real World is an exhibition of works by Munich-based writer Andreas Neumeister, Sean Snyder, a visual media artist from Virginia Beach, and German photographer Wolfgang Tillmans, whose iconic images have eschewed the gloss of his contemporaries in the fashion industry, subverting notions of beauty and sexuality. (from the Goethe-Institut New York)

The exhibition opened on March 30 and runs through May 4, 2008. Gallery hours are Friday-Sunday, 12-8pm. Ludlow 38 is located at 38 Ludlow Street (between Grand and Hester Sts.), New York, NY. Admission is free.
